Hightown Parish Council Welcomes the Arrival of Unknown Tommy Silhouette
We are pleased to announce the arrival of an Unknown Tommy Silhouette on the Memorial roundabout in Hightown today (28th May 2021).
The unknown Tommy serves as a permanent reminder of our nation’s fallen soldiers as well as those who continue to serve.
The Tommy was donated by the Lads of Hightown Village and Golf Society who were represented at the installation of the Tommy today by Captain Steven Jolley and Mr Kenneth Roberts.
The Chairman of Hightown Parish Council, Councillor Linda Munro, and Deputy Chairman, Councillor Paul Shacklady, were in attendance and would like to extend their thanks on behalf of Hightown Parish Council to all the Lads of Hightown Village and Golf Society for their kind donation of this very welcome addition to the village.
Thanks are also extended to Sefton Borough Council staff for installing the Tommy which faces the bridge on Kerslake Road welcoming both residents and visitors into the Parish.
